Euro-Zone Money Supply Grows at Slower Pace

Money-supply growth in the euro area continued to slow in October, rising by a mere 0.3% from a year earlier, the European Central Bank said Thursday. The growth rate was a new record low since the single currency's introduction in 1999 and well below the reference 4.5% growth rate that the ECB believes is consistent with stable prices.
